Icky contact question

So, supposing one had unwisely rubbed one's eye so hard that one gotten the contact worked somewhere not visible: would one be able to tell?

(The other option that I never actually put it in at all this morning, which is possible because I was in a hurry and it's my good eye. Something feels weird, but not all the time and not acutely. They're soft contacts, if that matters.)

ETA next morning: all better! When I got up I looked again and a very folded-up corner was just visible at the outside corner of my eye. Came out with no trouble and I will never rub my eyes like that again.

Thanks, all.
