I believe this would be Iain M. Banks' oeuvre summed up in one line

The quote on the back of his latest, Transition:

"Apparently I am what is known as an Unreliable Narrator, though of course if you believe everything you're told you deserve whatever you get."

That may have moved it into first place in the "what I want to read next" list, though it's quite a change from the re-read of Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell that I was contemplating.

(Which reminds me, I haven't had time to read Yuletide at all, but I do know there's a very good Special Circumstances story in the archive, "The Deceivers", because I was fortunate enough to beta it.)
