useful terms for talking about literature

Terms I picked up on the Internet for talking about literature that I didn't know I needed until I heard them, and now can't do without, in reverse chronological order:

(I do not count OH JOHN RINGO NO (hradzka) or "Go away, Japanese id! You are scary!" (Slate) in this regard, for all that I use them regularly, because they are not what I would call substantive.)
