an unexpected reason to post by e-mail

I find myself with free access to *.google.com and nothing else until
Sunday mid-day. I'm thinking it'll be an interesting experiment,
seeing whether I can subsist on GMail, Google Docs, and judicious use
of the Google cache (is that cheating?) for that long, and will
probably help me be more productive, too. Still, it's kind of a
peculiar choice for a hotel's paid-Internet scheme.

(Weirder was my car dealership, which did free wireless except to
major social networking sites. You'd think that people would
particularly want to check Facebook and Twitter while sitting around a
waiting room.)
