I will not use a Salt-n-Pepa quote for my subject line

Because it wouldn't be accurate, I don't want to talk about sex, I want to talk about reading sexy things.

Anonymous poll behind the cut.

(Edit: unfortunately I can't edit polls, but the second question is only meant to be answered if you answered "yes" to one of the relevant questions in the first.)

Here's why I was wondering:

I was fascinated to learn, in discussions elsewhere, that electronically published erotica on Amazon will sell, quite well, at a price of $2.99 for stories of 10-20 print pages in length. With all the hand-wringing about ebook prices, here is a genre that has settled on a price for short fiction that is not at all proportionate to the price for novels, and to which my gut reaction was "that's really expensive!", and there is a reasonably significant paying market for it, one that can allow (I understand through personal anecdote) part-time writers to earn, well, better money than midlist SFF writers, I'm pretty sure.

I know you all aren't a representative sample, and I also know that I'm very sleep-deprived and my poll design is probably terrible, but I was curious anyway.

The poll is anonymous, and anonymous commenting is on, but no shaming or criticizing anyone, please.
